Our Story
Black Belle Collective is an inclusive creative and vocational skill-building initiative developed by Black Belle Essentials LLC. The program offers inclusive, hands-on creative workshops for local businesses and community organizations. Much of our work focuses on adults with disabilities, however we also bring extensive experience supporting individuals across different ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The workshops focus on intentional mental wellness activities for all participants.
Our workshops provide participants with an opportunity to express themselves, connect with others, and enjoy creating something of their own. Activities can include bracelet making, jewelry design, polymer-clay art, packaging, product presentation, inventory activities, customer-service practice, workplace-readiness exercises, entrepreneurship-inspired learning and other guided crafts. Workshops are designed to encourage creativity, confidence, social engagement, fine-motor development, self-expression, and community inclusion.
Black Belle Collective offers community workshops and partnership opportunities for day-support programs and other organizations serving adults with disabilities. Participation is voluntary and is intended for enrichment and vocational exploration; it does not create an employment relationship or generate income.

MISSION
The Black Belle Collective provides creative opportunities while enhancing fine motor skills, social skills, and vocational skill- building opportunities for adults with disabilities and children and teens ages 3-18, with and without disabilities. Through artisan projects, community engagement, and age-appropriate skill building, our workshops encourage self-expression, connection, confidence and emotional well-being.
VISION
To create welcoming spaces where people of different ages and abilities feel valued, supported, and empowered to express themselves, develop meaningful skills, and connect with communities.

INTENTIONAL WELLNESS APPROACH
Emotional well-being is woven into each workshop through supportive guidance, opportunities for connection, creative expression, and space to pause or ask for help. The goal is for participants to leave with something they created and a stronger sense of confidence, connection, and accomplishment.
About The Owner
Lauren Buckley
I started Black Belle Collective after combining my passion for handmade jewelry with my professional experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through my work in program operations, disability services, workforce development, and community-based programming, I saw the need for more meaningful opportunities that allow adults with disabilities to explore their creativity while developing practical skills.
I wanted to build an inclusive program where participants could create something they are proud of, strengthen their confidence, practice vocational and social skills, and experience entrepreneurship in an encouraging and supportive environment.
